THC is a vital element of full spectrum hemp oil
Cornbread Hemp makes the most pure full spectrum hemp products by distilling our hemp extract to 75% pure CBD. That’s because we believe in the power of full spectrum hemp oil with a legal dose of THC. We distill our oil to 75% because any more pure, and the oil begins to lose its full spectrum of cannabinoids, which are vital for the most powerful entourage effect.
Why is the full spectrum hemp oil with THC so important?
In 2015, three Israeli scientists published a study in the Pharmacology & Pharmacy Journal comparing the results between full spectrum hemp extract and isolated CBD.
They concluded that isolated CBD had a bell-shaped dose-response curve, meaning that their studies only yielded results when the dose of CBD was in a narrow range, dropping off suddenly at higher and lower doses.
However, when scientists used a full spectrum extract, they found “the limitation with purified CBD could be overcome when presented together with other natural components of the plant.” In other words, full spectrum hemp extract allows greater effects at higher doses without the bell-curve drop off.
Cornbread’s full spectrum distillate with THC
At Cornbread Hemp, we have taken this study to heart as we work to make the most pure and effective hemp products available. That’s why we distill our hemp oil to 75% pure CBD, because any further purity begins to risk the full spectrum effect.
Kentucky’s long history of growing hemp and distilling bourbon makes these two things go together like chocolate and peanut butter. Our distilled hemp oil does not have an alcohol content, but it is the most pure full spectrum hemp oil on the market.
How much THC is legal?
We get this question a lot. According to the 2018 Farm Bill, federal law allows up to 0.3% THC in hemp grown in America. At Cornbread, our standards are stricter than the federal government to make our products have less than 0.2% THC, which is the European standard.
However, if your job requires a drug test at work, it doesn’t matter that THC is legal. Until we get clarification from the U.S. Department of Labor, workers under a drug-testing regime risk testing positive for THC when they take full spectrum hemp products like Cornbread Hemp.
