What are the differences between THC edibles and sublingual tinctures?
A sublingual tincture is designed to be held beneath the tongue for rapid uptake via direct absorption into the bloodstream. THC edibles are chewed and swallowed, so they’re absorbed more slowly. After moving through the digestive tract, THC edibles are metabolized in the liver, which converts THC into 11-hydroxy-THC. It’s a more potent, longer-lasting compound that creates stronger effects. Sublinguals tend to offer a more controlled experience than edibles as well.
