Save Hemp From a Federal Ban
Cornbread Hemp needs you to contact your representatives today.
On November 12, a new law is set to take effect that will ban hemp products nationwide. Unless Congress acts, this legislation will strip away access to the hemp-based wellness products that millions of Americans depend on, and decimate an industry that supports hundreds of thousands of jobs, farms, and small businesses across this country.
What You Need to Know:
The problem: Federal legislation takes effect on November 12th that will ban hemp products nationwide, effectively destroying the entire hemp industry.
The solution: A bipartisan bill—the Lawful Hemp Protection Act—has been introduced that can stop the ban and create a better path forward by replacing prohibition with responsible regulation.
What you can do: Contact your representatives today to tell them to support the Lawful Hemp Protection Act and save hemp.

Fighting for the Right Kind of Hemp
Don’t let bad actors ruin good hemp.
- Good hemp means real plants, thoughtful formulas, responsible doses, rigorous testing, and no synthetic cannabinoids. That's how we've always made Cornbread—and that's the kind of hemp we're fighting to protect.
- We support federal regulations that keep synthetic cannabinoids and unsafe products off store shelves. But the new federal law goes too far, putting trusted, full spectrum CBD and low-dose beverages at risk along with the bad actors.
- We believe in, and will continue to fight for, commonsense regulations that responsible operators in this space have been asking for since 2018:
- 21+ age gating
- child-resistant packaging
- third-party lab testing
- responsible labeling
- no synthetics
- reasonable milligram caps
This ain’t “gas station weed.”
- All Cornbread Hemp products are made with real, homegrown hemp from our family-owned Kentucky farm—not sketchy synthetics trying to skirt marijuana laws.
- We don’t want a loophole; we want a standard—smart regulations that keep bad actors out, without taking good hemp away.
There’s hemp. Then there’s good hemp.

Jim’s Statement:
“On September 1, the House of Representatives voted 370 to 48 to pass a short-term government funding bill that also delays a federal ban on Cornbread Hemp products that was set to take effect November 12.
The new deadline is now December 11, meaning Cornbread's products remain fully legal while we work toward a more permanent solution. Lawmakers from both parties backed the extension, a real sign of bipartisan support in Washington for keeping low-dose hemp products legal.
The bigger job is still ahead: Congress now has until December 11 to pass lasting regulations. Cornbread will continue working with lawmakers until the job is done.”
