Hemp is Under Attack

Countdown to Prohibition
Hemp-derived THC products will become a Schedule I drug on November 12, 2026 unless we act.
Immediate Priorities
If we don't act by November 12th, 2026, all hemp products with even trace amounts of THC will be made illegal and considered a Schedule I drug on par with heroin.
Cornbread Hemp has been working with our champions in Congress to plot a path forward:
Push for a one-year extension to give us all more time.
Our Statement
Mitch McConnell recently inserted language into a government funding bill that will ban hemp products nationwide in less than a year. This ban will take effect on November 13th, 2026.
That means that every product we make at Cornbread Hemp — even CBD products — will be illegal this time next year unless Congress fixes this problem that it caused.
If Congress does not fix this, our business and thousands of family farms, manufacturers, retailers, and workers across America will be forced to shut down. By next Thanksgiving, the hemp wellness options that millions of Americans rely on could disappear. But we are not giving up.
