CBD Gummy Benefits

CBD WITH THC BENEFITS

CBD has surged in popularity lately. Ever since hemp was legalized by the 2018 Farm Act, millions of people have been discovering CBD and its benefits. It’s recommended by wellness experts, therapists, medical doctors, and the like. One of the most popular CBD products is CBD gummies. These are generally tasty, fruit-flavored bites much like gummy bears or gumdrops. They are infused with CBD oil and, ideally, they will be naturally flavored, without artificial ingredients, and taste great.

Gummies are also convenient and discrete. If you find CBD gummies and eat them in public or in front of friends, no one would think anything of it. In fact, your friends may think you’re eating candy and ask for some too! Some of them are even shaped like gummy worms, with flavors like green apple and and strawberry lemonade.

They’re great for people who have an aversion to taking CBD oil or CBD pills.
The original gummy bear was introduced by the German Haribo company in 1922. Hans Riegel, Sr., the founder, drew his inspiration from the trained bears seen at street festivities and markets in Europe through to the 19th century. But while Riegel is often credited as the inventor of gummy candy, he actually just improved upon an already successful, centuries-old, formula. 1

“Gummy candies descend from Turkish delight and even Japanese rice candy,” says candy historian Beth Kimmerle, author of Candy: A Sweet History. “But both of those are typically made with rice or corn starch versus gelatin.” Cornbread Hemp's gummies are made with apple pectin and that makes them vegan, unlike ones made with gelatin, which is made from animal parts.

“Cooking sugar along with fruit has long been a way to preserve or store summer’s harvest,” Kimmerle says. “So technically gummy candies are also cousins of jams and jellies.” Cornbread Hemp's gummies are made with real, organic berries.

HOW ARE CBD GUMMIES MADE?

At Cornbread Hemp, this process begins with organic berries: strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. The berries are juiced as the base for the three different flavors of gummies.

The fruit juices are heated up, then blended with Cornbread Hemp's flower-only hemp extract, which contains the highest legal level of THC. Then, the pectin is added. Pectin is found in the cell walls of most terrestrial plants—including fruits and vegetables. 2 Cornbread Hemp uses apple pectin, along with organic tapioca syrup, organic carnauba wax, and organic ginger — to thicken the gummies. We also add organic beetroot for color.

Then we put all of our vegan organic gummy ingredients in a tray and refrigerate them to allow them to set. That’s where the pectin does its work, expanding its fibers in the cold darkness of the refrigerator to create a consistent snackable form.

Once the gummies are set, we pop them out of the tray molds into their bite-sized pieces. Then, we toss them in organic cane sugar crystals to coat the outside. This helps prevent them from sticking together and also adds a bit of sweetness.

We then package them in amber glass jars—30 gummies per jar—and they’re ready to ship straight to your door. The amber glass helps keep the damaging light away from the gummies to make sure the benefits of CBD remain intact.

WHAT MAKES CORNBREAD HEMP'S CBD GUMMIES SPECIAL?

Cornbread Hemp's Certified Organic Berry Gummies are specially formulated, and we are one of the only brands to offer Certified Organic, full-spectrum, high-THC gummies in the entire CBD industry. Cornbread Hemp's gummies come in two sizes: 10mg and 50mg. Taking the 10mg gummies is perfect if you are interested in adjusting your dosage or keeping your dose low. The 50mg gummies pack a stronger punch.

Premium CBD gummies should taste delicious, and should be made with a full spectrum CBD extract containing a legal amount of THC - not broad spectrum CBD or pure CBD isolate, which contain zero THC. Most people agree that our CBD gummies are delicious and effective, which is why they are considered the top CBD gummies.

But best of all, Cornbread Hemp CBD gummies are legal in all 50 states and territories, even with 2 milligrams of THC per serving. That's because the Farm Bill of 2018 made the hemp plant and CBD legal across the entire county, as long as it contains less than 0.3% THC by dry weight. Our CBD gummy weighs about 5 grams, which means we can have up to 15 milligrams of THC per gummy, and still be within the legal threshold.

WHAT ARE CBD GUMMIES' BENEFITS?

Is CBD safe? CBD is very safe. It's non-addictive, does not produce the psychoactive results that marijuana does, and is impossible to overdose on. Those are just some of the benefits of CBD. Just like with marijuana, no one has fatally overdosed on the substance without another drug or alcohol being in the system. That being said, there are certain medications that should not be taken along with a CBD gummy and it is important you consult with your doctor before any CBD treatment.

CBD gummies can help with anxiety, calm you in stressful situations, alleviate some pain caused by inflammation, and nurture your healthful sleep cycles. Even pets benefit from CBD, including CBD gummies, if they are anxious, old and creaky, or have a hard time settling in for the night. Just like humans may enjoy taking a CBD gummy more than other forms of CBD, pets have their preferences too!
Let's take a look at some of the potential health benefits of using the best CBD gummies available.

CBD GUMMIES AND ANXIETY

How do you respond to life's stressors? Simply put, life is stressful. When stress becomes chronic, it can manifest physically, especially when coupled with connected issues like poor sleep health or insufficient nutrition. It can then become a cycle that is hard to break out of.

The pandemic has put all of our emotions under a magnifying glass. What was once a little stressful, like managing your child's schooling, has suddenly become a crisis. Ordinary work stress now sits hand-in-hand with wondering if your maskless workmate will give you COVID and you'll die. Grocery shopping, seeing friends, deciding whether you want to go to a restaurant or concert, seeing the doctor for a routine checkup, every action or decision you make is fraught with tension, stress, and concern. For most of us, these pandemic days have presented us with extraordinary challenges just to keep ourselves and our families safe.

There are many natural alternatives to reducing stress, such as exercise and meditation. Those practices are hard to start and even harder to maintain, especially if you're not an able-bodied person. In light of how much discipline it takes to stick to practices of exercise and meditation, many people look for quick and easy ways to blow off steam. But some stress-relieving tactics, like using alcohol and tobacco, can have serious negative health effects. Even some medications traditionally recommended for stress reduction can have side effects that are undesirable or can become harmful or addictive over time.

For a more natural approach, a dose of CBD gummies added to your daily routine may help provide relief from stress. A CBD gummy may help soon after taking it; it may provide you with a sense of calm and sureness for an isolated event—such as a meeting with your child's teacher or a call with your boss. But in the long term, taking CBD regularly may provide equilibrium between the highs and lows of daily life. This balance will provide the calm needed to enjoy your day and focus on what truly matters.

One of the main potential benefits of CBD oil is that CBD may help to naturally reduce stress without the side effects and potential risks associated with anxiety medications. CBD products have none of the concerning side effects of prescription medications-- for example, no sexual disfunction, no sleep disruption, no changes in behavior or performance.

You might be wondering about the fact that full-spectrum CBD gummies also contain a legal amount of THC at no more than 0.3%. While this amount of THC is enough to help produce the entourage effect, it's not enough to cause negative side effects - even in high doses. Combine CBD with THC, and your experience becomes much less psychoactive. That's because CBD actually helps prevent THC from interacting with the receptors in your brain, which is what causes the euphoric feeling.

CBD GUMMIES AND PAIN AND INFLAMMATION

CBD and other associated cannabinoids have anti-inflammatory properties, and because of that, full-spectrum CBD may help relieve pain in some instances. In addition to CBD gummies, CBD topicals like creams and balms can help spot-treat pain and inflammation and provide significant reduction.

According to researchers in a Harvard publication, "Our understanding of the role of CBD in pain management continues to evolve, and evidence from animal studies has shown that CBD exerts its pain-relieving effects through its various interactions and modulation of the endocannabinoid, inflammatory, and nociceptive (pain-sensing ) systems." Human studies of the potential health benefits of CBD in regards to pain relief have been limited.

While anecdotal evidence suggests that CBD can cut down on chronic pain and remedy other health issues, CBD has not been approved as a supplement by the Federal Drug Association (FDA). CBD can offer an alternative for people who have chronic pain and rely on medications, such as opioids, that can be strongly addictive and have dire side effects.

In a 2016 study, Researchers applied CBD gel to rats for four days. "The rats received either 0.6, 3.1, 6.2, or 62.3 milligrams (mg) per day. The researchers noted reduced inflammation and overall pain in the rats’ affected joints. There were no obvious side effects.

"Rats who received low doses of 0.6 or 3.1 mg didn’t improve their pain scores. The researchers found that 6.2 mg/day was a high enough dose to reduce the rats’ pain and swelling."3

Historically, CBD has been used for therapeutic reasons since 2737BC in China when the Emporer made the first cup of cannabis tea. Rumor has it that Queen Victoria used CBD to alleviate menstrual cramps, supporting the claims of analgesia. 4Today, it's more obvious than ever that CBD could have therapeutic potential, as clinical trials and studies suggest medical marijuana and the marijuana plant could be a beneficial therapeutic for numerous health conditions.

CBD GUMMIES AND SLEEP

Reportedly, 2 out of 3 Americans are sleeping less than they used to before the pandemic.5  Lack of sleep has been linked to 7 of the 15 causes of death in the United States, including cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes, and many more. 6 Being frustrated with your sleep health is about more than just being angry at how sleepy you are every day or feeling helpless when you lie awake at night-- it's about your very basic health.

One of the huge benefits of CBD products is that they can help lull you to sleep, and when you awake there are none of those "hungover" or groggy feelings that you often get with over-the-counter and prescription sleep aids. Prescription sleep medications may be habit-forming and may produce side effects or an undesirable medical condition. And sometimes, unfortunately, sleeping pills may not even work. Taking CBD gummies is safe, natural, effective, and healthier for your body.

The best thing about a CBD gummy is that it's easy to take. Most people begin taking CBD gummies around 45 minutes before bedtime to give them time to work. Chew them slowly to make sure there is time for some of the CBD to make its way into your bloodstream through the delicate blood vessels under your tongue.

In conclusion, the benefits of the cannabis plant and CBD gummies are abundant, but more research is needed before the Food and Drug Administration allows claims to be made. Once scientific evidence is released about how a CBD gummy affects the human body, then companies like Cornbread Hemp will be able to more clearly articulate the benefits.
