How to Make CBD Gummies

How to make CBD Gummies?

Gummy candies come in all shapes and flavors: gummy bears, gummy worms, orange slice gummies, even gummy sharks, lobsters, and fish. The original gummy bear was introduced by the German Haribo company in 1922. Hans Riegel, Sr., the founder, drew his inspiration from the trained bears seen at street festivities and markets in Europe through to the 19th century. There’s lots of ways to make gummies, but how to make CBD gummies — that’s a special type of gummy!

The original gummy bear form was the Dancing Bear, a much larger gummy bear than its successor, the Gold-Bear, which was first produced in 1967 and is still produced today.1 Now you can even buy a five-pound gummy bear on Amazon for $30, if you’re into that sort of thing.2

Fun Fact: “Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears” was a Saturday morning cartoon produced in the mid-80s, and if I am remembering clearly, it was re ally quite good. But not as good as our CBD gummies. Here's how we make them!

What are CBD Gummies?

First, what are CBD gummies? Hemp-derived CBD gummies, like their candy counterparts, are chewy, fruit-flavored bites. They are a delicious, discrete and convenient way of getting your dose of CBD. At Cornbread Hemp, our gummies come in blueberry, strawberry, and raspberry—flavored with real, organic fruit. Each jar of our CBD Gummies includes all three flavors.

Cornbread Hemp’s gummies are USDA certified organic, unlike most all other gummy products that rely on low-quality hemp, artificial flavoring and gelling agents. That means that every ingredient that goes into Cornbread Hemp’s CBD gummies is certified organic to the standards of the USDA. When we say that Cornbread Hemp’s gummies are “berry flavored,” we don’t mean some mysterious chemical additive that tastes like a strawberry lollipop. We use actual organic strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. And a little bit of natural sugar as an added tasty treat.

Our CBD oil gummies are also vegan. They’re thickened with apple pectin. Many other gummy producers use gelatin which is made from animal bits to thicken and mold their products. Apple pectin is a vegan-friendly alternative often used to thicken jellies and jams.

Each gummy comes with 10mg of CBD from our organic hemp flower extract. Despite the fact that Cornbread Hemp’s CBD gummies contain just less than 0.3 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), these gummies will not get you stoned. That percentage is the legal limit for THC in CBD products.

CBD gummies are perfect for consumers who want to take cannabidiol but don’t like the taste of CBD oils and can’t or don’t want to swallow CBD capsules. You use CBD gummies simply by eating them, and they taste good!

How to Make CBD Gummies With THC

Making CBD gummies is a very hands-on process. At Cornbread Hemp, this process begins with organic berries: strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. These berries are juiced separately as the base for the three different flavors of gummies.

The fruit juices are individually heated up, then blended with Cornbread Hemp's flower-only hemp extract. Then, the pectin is added. Pectin is found in the cell walls of most terrestrial plants—including fruits and veggies.3 Cornbread Hemp uses apple pectin, along with organic tapioca syrup, organic carnauba wax, and organic ginger — to thicken the gummies. We also add a little organic beetroot for color.

Then we put all of our vegan gummy ingredients in a tray, and refrigerate them to allow it to set. That’s where the pectin does its work, expanding its fibers in the cold darkness of the refrigerator to create a consistent snackable form.

Once the gummies are set, we pop them out of the tray molds into their bite-sized pieces. Then, we roll them in organic cane sugar crystals to coat the outside. This helps prevent them from sticking together, and also adds a bit of sweetness. Each gummy contains 10 mg of CBD, making it easy to measure your CBD dosage.

We then package them in amber glass jars—30 gummies per jar, 10 mg CBD per piece—and they’re ready to ship straight to your door.

Conclusion

The choice between taking CBD gummies over other CBD products is mostly one of personal preference. CBD gummies are more discreet than oils—who’s going to question you having a gummy snack? Gummies are vegan and vegetarian, whereas most all CBD capsules are not. CBD capsules contain gelatin made from animals.

Regardless, each batch of all of our products is made with care. Our USDA Organic CBD gummies are made of all-natural ingredients and are vegetarian- and vegan-friendly. The hemp for Cornbread Hemp’s organic CBD gummies is grown on Kentucky family farms without pesticides or herbicides. Our process involves no additives or fillers, and you can verify this by accessing our third-party test results for each small batch available online.

Use our retail store locator to find “CBD gummies near me.” Cornbread Hemp is sold at a variety of health food stores and other retailers across the United States. As with all our products, we offer CBD gummies online via safe and legal home delivery with a no-questions-asked 30-day guarantee.

FAQs

CBD Gummies are a type of CBD edible, which usually takes the form of small and tasty candy. The gummies generally contain CBD oil and can be made with either THC or without it.

Making CBD gummies is not difficult at all if you have the right ingredients, equipment and instructions. You can easily make them at home with common kitchen appliances, or you can buy them ready-made from a local dispensary.

The most important ingredient in CBD gummy recipes is gelatin. Without it, the gummies will not hold their shape. The best way to incorporate CBD into gummies a recipe is with either CBD drops or hemp extract.
